Editorial Policy
How One Candle Ahead writes, reviews, updates, and corrects trading-education content, plus our AI-tool disclosure.
1. Content creation principles
Every article is written to answer a real learner question: what a pattern means, when it fails, how to drill it in the simulator, what risk it implies. We do not publish vague motivation, hype, or "guaranteed-return" framing. Articles cite specific patterns, dates, or scenarios whenever possible.
2. Fact-checking process
Before publication, every numeric claim is checked against the actual historical OHLCV data the simulator uses. Pattern definitions are cross-referenced against at least one of: Steve Nison's "Japanese Candlestick Charting Techniques," John Murphy's "Technical Analysis of the Financial Markets," or the original public source. Where definitions disagree we explain the disagreement rather than pick silently.
3. AI tool disclosure
The founder uses large-language-model assistants (such as ChatGPT and Claude) for outline structure, grammar checks, and rewording. AI output is never published as-is. Every paragraph is rewritten or substantially edited by the founder, and every claim is human-verified. We do not generate articles in bulk via templates with variable substitution.
4. Update cadence
Core guides (candlestick patterns, RSI, risk management, journal templates) are reviewed at least once per quarter. The "Reviewed" date on each article reflects the most recent editorial pass. Outdated examples or broken links are corrected as soon as they are reported.
5. Advertising–content separation
We display Google AdSense advertising on content-rich pages. Advertisers have zero influence on what we write, how we recommend simulator practice, or which patterns we cover. Ads do not appear on the gameplay routes (/play/*) or signed-in dashboards. We do not accept paid placements, sponsored articles, or affiliate links inside educational content.
6. Corrections policy
Found an error, an unclear explanation, an outdated screenshot, or a policy issue? Email support@onecandleahead.app with the article URL and what is wrong. We respond within 48 hours and, when we correct an article, we add a short note at the top with the correction date.
7. Contact channels
Editorial questions, fact-check requests, takedown requests, and policy concerns all go to support@onecandleahead.app. Security disclosures: security@onecandleahead.app.
